Weather Station

2004 Art Gallery of Guelph, University of Guelph, Ontario

A sculpture that records speed and direction of wind is mounted on the wall of the Art Gallery of Guelph (formerly the Macdonald Stewart Art Gallery) in the university of Guelph, Ontario. LEDs of different colours are set in circles each representing a geographical direction. An additional line lights up in the circle where the wind is currently in that zone. The line in the centre of the installation, controlled by an anemometer on the roof, shows the local wind speed.
