Wind reactive sculpture, part of Lovely Weather, a touring exhibition based on climatic change at the Macdonald Stewart Art Centre, Canada, Peterborough Museum & Art Gallery, England, Crawford Art centre, St Andrews, and the Gracefield Art Centre, Dumfries, Scotland
An anemometer on the roof records wind signals that are relayed to a datalogger in the stainless steel base of the sculpture. Dichroic lights of various colours, at the base of acrylic tubes of varying dimensions, light up accumulatively according to the changing wind speeds. The coloured light is captured in the ellipses at the top of clear polished tubes and in circles on the canopy stretched above.
